Casein Digest Peptone, Peptic Digest of Animal Tissue, and Yeast Extract provide nitrogenous, carbon, and vitamin source. Dextrose is the fermentable carbohydrate. Sodium Chloride maintains osmotic equilibrium and Sodium Bisulfite is a reducing agent added to enhance growth.
