Description
Chromogenic medium for the isolation and direct differentiation of Staphylococcus spp. in industrial products, veterinary and environmental samples.
The product is composed of a single powder medium.
MEDIUM PERFORMANCE:
Confirmation tests such as latex agglutination, coagulase, and catalase can be performed directly from the plates on suspected colonies.
TYPICAL APPEARANCE OF MICROORGANISMS:
S. aureus → pink to mauve
S. epidermidis → colourless to pinkish
S. saprophyticus → turquoise blue
Other Staphylococci → various
Streptococci → inhibited
Gram negative bacteria → inhibited
